How Queer. book. Read reviews from How Queer! book largest community for readers/5(7). These books reflect a wide range of queer stories. The authors and characters here are of different races, religions, sexualities, genders, ages, abilities, classes, nationalities.

But this list is in no way exhaustive or inclusive of every queer experience. Queer is an umbrella term for sexual and gender minorities that are not heterosexual or cisgender. Originally meaning "strange" or "peculiar", queer came to be deployed pejoratively against those with same-sex desires or relationships in the lateth century.

But “queer literature” is a meaningful term, because of its power to bridge lived experiences and identities, unite us across continents and time periods, and uncover and reconstruct histories.
